Keeping customer tires in storage
Turn on tire storage, map each warehouse shelf, receive customer sets, bill a storage fee, and keep an arrival-to-departure ledger.

Open Settings > Tire storage and press Turn tire storage on. Until then the tire-storage department is hidden. Turning it off hides the screens without deleting any set or movement.
Map the storage space
Add each warehouse, then give every location the short code people use in the shop. Zone, rack, shelf and position are optional address details. Capacity is counted in individual tires, not sets, so an eight-tire shelf can hold two ordinary four-tire sets or a six-tire set and one two-tire set.
Follow every set
Receiving a set writes its arrival. Moving it writes the old and new location codes. Releasing or disposing it writes the final movement and closes the set. The copied codes do not change when a shelf is renamed, so the ledger keeps saying what happened at the time.
The customer record's What we hold for you section lists that customer's stored sets and opens each full ledger. A vehicle record shows the same link when the set names that vehicle.
Set the summer-set and winter-set turn dates in Settings > Tire storage; on each shop-local turn date, stored sets for that season appear under Due back until they leave storage. Press Tell them to send the customer one scheduling text through their ordinary message thread, while Not yet billed lists priced stored sets that still need Bill storage.
Stored sets follow the surviving customer when duplicate customer records are merged, and each set with its movement history is included in the shop's full export.
On a stored set, record dated tread readings in thirty-seconds and pressure in kPa; Torqix keeps those original values and shows pressure as rounded whole psi. Request washing, balancing or TPMS service as a task, then mark it done or skipped so the set shows what is still left to do.
Storage fees
In Settings > Tire storage, set either one season fee for the whole set or a per-tire fee for each warehouse. If both have a value, the season fee is used. Leave both blank when that warehouse does not charge for storage.
Open a stored set and press Bill storage. Torqix adds one Tire storage fee to the customer's open order, or drafts a new estimate when there is no open order, then links the set to that order. Review and send or approve the estimate through the normal ticket flow before the customer is charged.
