Shop management, built inside a working shop
Shop software that doesn’t charge you extra to answer a text.
Torqix runs the front counter and the bay: the board, estimates, digital inspections, two-way texting, parts, invoicing, the time clock. Those shop features are in every plan. Users are unlimited at every plan. The current CSV/JSON export is one click and stays available after cancellation; its manifest names the record families and media it does not include yet.
No card. No signup to look around. No sales rep will call you.

- Shop features, every plan
- Texting, inspections, dashboards, follow-ups, parts and invoicing. Plans differ by volume and allowances, not by day-to-day workflow.
- Unlimited users
- Every advisor, every tech, the bookkeeper. There is no per-seat fee at any plan and there never will be.
- Sign up without a phone call
- Signup takes no card and records a trial end date fourteen days out. Trial enforcement is not armed, and there is no form that generates a sales call because there is no sales call.
- Your data leaves when you do
- One click, no approval and no ticket — the current CSV/JSON archive names every supported and omitted record family. Available on the trial and after cancellation; media bytes are not included yet.
Who this is for
Independent repair shops.
One bay or ten. General repair, specialists, fleet work, a truck shop, a tire-and-brake store. If you write estimates, order parts, chase approvals and try to remember who you promised a car back to at four o’clock, this was built for your Monday.
It was not built for a demo. It was built because the person writing it owns a shop, was paying for software he did not like, and had the specific list of things that were wrong with it.
What you actually get
Three screens, and what each one is for.
None of these is a screenshot. They are the product’s own components — the same card, the same badge, the same vehicle tile the shop app renders — drawn on this page with rows from the demo shop. Which means they cannot show you an interface that no longer exists, and they read at whatever width you are holding.
Texting
Texting belongs in the base product.
Real threads with a customer, not blasts. When an advisor sends an estimate, it lands in the same thread they are typing in, so nobody has to guess what the customer actually received.
It is in every plan, it does not cost more per user, and it is the reason the headline at the top of this page is about texting rather than about workflow.

Hi Grace — the Camry's up on the rack. Sending the estimate over now, it's $684.50 and you can approve or decline each line.

Got it. Do the brakes have to be today?
Grace9:31 AM
No — the fronts have about 4mm left, so you've got a couple months. I'd do the leak now and the brakes at the next oil change.
Playground Motors9:33 AM
Perfect. Approving just the leak then. Thank you!

Estimates and inspections
The half of your software your customers judge you on.
Line by line, approve or decline, from the phone. Each line carries what the technician wrote, and the running total counts only the work the customer has approved so far.
Declined is a real state, not an error. It is saved with the reason and the date, and it is what feeds the follow-up list instead of a note in a drawer.
Inspection photos do reach the customer’s live visit page. They are not part of the frozen estimate yet, so this preview does not pretend otherwise.

The numbers
Owners get the numbers on every plan.
Car count, average ticket, effective labor rate, what is sitting unapproved and how old the oldest one is. You should not have to buy the top plan to find out how your own shop is doing.
The gauge is the logo doing its job: the Torqix mark is a tachometer, and on this tile the needle is driven by how many of your bays are turning. At a full shop it sits on the redline.

The shop features are in every tier.
The category’s standard move is to put the useful things on the top plan: texting behind the $439 tier, dashboards behind the $439 tier, review requests behind the top tier, and then twenty dollars a month per user on top. We are not doing any of that. The shop features below are in every plan; the enforced differences are repair-order volume, AI allowance, the monthly text allowance and locations. The current catalogue grants API access on every plan too.
- Unlimited users
- Every advisor, every tech, the bookkeeper, your spouse who does the invoicing on Sundays. There is no per-seat fee at any tier, and there never will be.
- Two-way texting
- Real threads with customers, not blasts. Nobody has to pay more to answer a text — the ability to answer a customer is part of the base product.
- Digital inspections
- Rate and note each finding in the bay, attach photos to that finding, and let the customer open them from the live visit page. The frozen estimate does not carry photos yet.
- Estimates the customer can approve from their phone
- Line-by-line approve or decline, e-signature, and the declined work goes straight into follow-up instead of into a drawer.
- Review requests and follow-ups
- Service reminders, declined-work follow-up, review requests after a good ticket. Included, not a marketing add-on that costs as much as the software.
- Dashboards and reporting
- Car count, average ticket, effective labor rate, tech hours. Owners get numbers on every tier — you should not have to buy the top plan to find out how the shop is doing.
- Scheduling, repair orders, invoicing
- The board, the calendar, the ticket, the invoice. Quick quotes that do not burn a permanent RO number.
- Parts and inventory
- Stock, bin locations, purchase orders, receiving, cost history. Counter sales for parts going out the door with no vehicle attached.
- Time clock and labor
- Punches per job, multiple techs on one ticket, hourly and flat-rate pay structures.
- Your current export, in one click
- Self-serve CSV/JSON for the supported record families, any time, no ticket and no human approval, including after cancellation. The archive names what it does not yet include.
Getting off your old software
Bring the shop with you.
The reason shops stay somewhere they dislike is fifteen years of customer history. So the importer is not an afterthought: export the CSVs from your current system, upload them, and Torqix maps the columns for you and shows you a dry run before it writes anything — how many customers, how many duplicates it wants to merge, which rows need a human. If the result is wrong, undo the whole import.
The manual CSV importer accepts customers, vehicles, closed service history and parts, with a dry run and whole-batch undo. Shopmonkey also has a direct pull: the manual picker brings customers or vehicles, and an owner-armed recurring import can carry order history. Tekmetric has no connector today. Leaving uses the separate self-serve export, whose manifest names its current omissions.
Money
We will never make you use our card processing.
Recording a payment you took another way — cash, check, your existing terminal, the card reader you already bought — is free, and it is free forever. That is the whole commitment. When our own processing goes live, the rate will be printed on the pricing page rather than quoted to you on a call, and using it will be a choice you make on the numbers.
Fair terms
The contract is the product too.
Every line here is a thing a shop owner has been burned by, written down as a promise we can be held to. It is repeated on the pricing page, because that is where you will be deciding.
- Month to monthPolicy, not yet mechanical
- Billing is not live. When it is, monthly is the policy; an annual term would require an explicit choice.
- Cancel in the app, in two clicks
- The app records the end of the current period in two clicks. There is no notice window or retention call, and no payment provider exists to move money.
- Fourteen-day trial, no cardPolicy, not yet mechanical
- You do not hand over a card to find out whether the software works. If you forget about us, nothing happens.
- Export always worksPolicy, not yet mechanical
- One click, no approval and no subscription gate. The current archive is partial and names its omissions; completing it is still work owed.
- Read-only for twelve months after you cancel
- Your history does not get deleted three months after you go. You can come back and pull a record for a warranty claim a year later.
- We never force our payment processing
- Recording a payment you took somewhere else is free and always will be. If you use ours it will be because the rate is good and published, not because we blocked the alternative.
Straight answer
What isn’t finished.
Torqix is new. One shop runs its whole day on it — the one that is building it — and the list below is what that shop is still waiting for. You are going to find this out in week two anyway; you may as well find it out before you sign up.
- Inspection photos on the estimate
- Inspection photos reach the customer's live visit page today. They do not travel inside the frozen estimate snapshot yet, so the estimate preview on this site does not show them.
- Adding a second location
- Every account has exactly one location today: the shop created with it. Nothing in the product adds another, so the location allowance on a plan is a limit waiting for a door, not a door. The org-level roll-up and fleet views that already ship read across the shops a person is a member of — useful the day a second location exists, and an honest duplicate of one shop's own figures until then.
- AI phone agent
- The conversation, policy controls, consent-gated Twilio adapter and no-phone simulator are built. No shop has an activated line. When connected, appointment work is a draft request that holds no slot until a human confirms it.
- Card processing
- You can record any payment today, including cash, check and whatever terminal you already own, and that is free forever. Taking the card through Torqix, at a published flat rate, is not live yet.
- QuickBooks sync
- The exact-cent engine, reconciliation history, retry path, scheduled drain and signed authorization flow are built. Connection becomes available when Torqix's owner installs the registered Intuit app credentials; until then the books export remains the working route out.
Try it on a real ticket.
Signup takes no card and records a date fourteen days out. Trial expiry is not armed today.
