Keeping what you found with the car

Vehicle findings keep an observation with the car after the visit ends, until somebody resolves it. Both screens sit behind a customer key, so a technician's findings arrive here through the inspection sheet.

For service advisor, owner, manager, front desk · checked against the product on 2026-09-15

A finding is a fact about a car: a perished bush, a leak beginning, or a noise worth checking next time. It stays on the vehicle record after the inspection or order that first exposed it has become history. It lives on the customer file, so recording and resolving one is an advisor, front-desk, manager or owner job; a technician records what they noticed on the inspection sheet, and the limit at the end of this article says how that reaches here.

  1. Step 1: Open the car

From Vehicles, open the vehicle and choose the Findings tab.

  2. Step 2: Record what was seen

Give it a title, choose Note, Advisory or Urgent, and add the useful detail. Then choose Add finding.

  3. Step 3: Close the fact when it is no longer true

Choose Resolve finding. Resolved findings remain folded below the open list and can be reopened if the condition returns.

The register across cars

Open Findings to see the org-wide register. It puts open findings first and lets you filter by status or severity, or search by plate and make. Choose the Vehicle, Severity, Status or Recorded header to sort the register. The vehicle name opens that car's own Findings tab.
