Your board's lanes: naming, adding and ordering them

Name the board's lanes in your own words, split a stage into several lanes, reorder them and hide the ones you do not use. Each lane belongs to one of the six stages, and the stage still decides what a move needs.

Open Settings > Workflow. Each row is one lane of the board, left to right in the order the board draws them. A shop that never opens this page keeps the six lanes every shop starts with: Estimates, Approved, In Progress, Quality Check, Complete and Invoiced.

Every lane belongs to one Stage. The stage is what the rules read: a car needs an approved job to reach Approved, the checklist to leave Quality Check, a live invoice to reach Invoiced. Renaming a lane never changes those rules, and a stage can have more than one lane — Deposit Received and Dropped Off can both be Approved.

Rename, add and reorder

  1. Step 1: Rename a lane

Type the new name, 1 to 40 characters, and press Save name. Two shown lanes cannot share a name.

  2. Step 2: Add a lane

Under Add a lane, type its name, pick its stage and press Add lane. It joins the end of that stage's lanes.

  3. Step 3: Put it in order

Use each lane's move left and move right controls until the list matches how your shop works.

Moving a card between lanes

Drag a card, or use Move to in the card's menu. A move between two lanes of the same stage changes only the lane, and it is the service advisor's to make. A move to a lane of another stage is a stage move, with every check a stage move has. When a card changes stage from the order screen, it lands in its new stage's first lane.

Hide a lane

Press Hide to take a lane off the board for the whole shop; cards that were in it show in their stage's first lane, and Show brings it back. Every stage keeps at least one lane, so its only lane cannot be hidden. To hide a lane only on your own board, use Hide this column in the lane's menu instead.
