Reading the dashboard
Four short answers at opening time: who owes the shop, which invoices are largest, where the work sits, and who is booked next.

Dashboard is a set of four doorways, not a second wall of reports. Customer aging and largest unpaid invoices link to their full reports. Workflow status links to the board, and upcoming appointments links to the calendar. Each card shows at most five working rows before sending you to the screen that owns the full answer.
All four reads stay inside the current shop. Demo and test rows are excluded from every row, count and amount a live shop sees; the test playground explicitly includes its own stamped test rows. Appointment windows are cut on the shop's timezone, not the server's or the device's, so Today still means the shop's business day when somebody opens it while travelling.
What is owed
- Customer aging
- Customers with open balances, largest first, with invoice count, oldest age and aging bucket. The footer is the exact total owed across the shop. Show more appears only when accounts remain beyond the first five.
- Largest unpaid invoices
- Individual invoices ordered by what is still due, with frozen customer and vehicle labels plus total, paid and due. The footer says how many invoices remain open and their exact combined balance.
What is moving
Workflow status uses the board's own open-work filter and its own lane folding, so its counts are not a second opinion. The stages run Estimates, Approved, In progress, QC, Ready and Invoiced. Each row also counts jobs waiting on customer authorization. Choosing a lane opens the board narrowed to that lane for this visit only; it does not rewrite your saved board view.
Upcoming appointments offers Today, Tomorrow, This week and Next week. This week means today through the end of the shop's Sunday-anchored week; next week is the complete week after that. The current-time line appears only in a window that includes today, and each appointment opens its move screen.
