Taking card payments

Text a customer a pay link; they pay the invoice by card on Stripe's page and the payment lands on the order by itself.

  1. Step 1: Turn it on once (owner)

Open Card payments and press Take card payments. Stripe asks for your business, your bank and who owns the shop on its own pages, then sends you back. Only the owner can open this screen.

  2. Step 2: Wait for Ready

The status reads Onboarding until Stripe says the account can take charges, then Ready. If Stripe still needs something, press Continue setup.

  3. Step 3: Send the link

On an invoice, open the payment screen and press Send pay link. The customer's conversation opens with the message and the link already typed. Read it over and press Send yourself; Torqix never sends it for you.

  4. Step 4: The payment lands by itself

The customer pays by card on Stripe's page. As soon as Stripe confirms it, the payment appears on the invoice as Card (online) and the balance updates. The customer's own invoice page shows a Pay now button to the same link while it is open.

The money goes to your own Stripe account, and Stripe takes its standard processing fee from each payment. Torqix takes nothing. Customers type the card on Stripe's page, so Torqix never sees the card number.
